She finished her Early Childhood Education, then Post-Basic Citation (Infant/toddler), and studied in Children with Exceptionalities from The University of College of the Cariboo. She moved to Alberta in 2000 and worked in childcare. In 2001 opened her own Daycare Centre and now opened one in St. Albert
